Educational innovation

YouthSport

Statistics show that sports can represent a viable career option for young people who have an interest in sports management. Sports organisation can be also managed innovatively as “social enterprises”. The project, therefore, will focus on social entrepreneurship in the field of sports management as an area of potential growth for social enterprises and of employment opportunities for young people by creating a unique EU leaning curriculum and certification, as well as an “E-space”, developed as the incubator for an EU network of young community sports entrepreneurs.
The overall objective of this project is to build social entrepreneurial skills in young people interested in managing sports organisations. This will be achieved through creating a training path and European certification for young people (18-30) who are involved with sports organisation either as athletes or as members of the organisation, to provide them with the skills necessary to manage a sports organisation following the principles and values of a community social enterprise.

At the end of the training session, the participants will conclude their experience at a summer camp in Romania, where they will meet their European peers and social entrepreneurs from across Europe and will develop and present their own “social business plan”.
